The Lean Challenge is a unique event which combines the energy of our Lean Olympics with the knowledge of a Lean Conference for the process industry. Decision-makers reward their best employees by enrolling them to compete for the Lean Challenge trophy and benefit personally from networking with their peers through World Cafés and best practice case studies on the topic of Operational Excellence.
The first day of the conference is dedicated to learning from and through a competitive environment. Top athletes share their experience and recopies for success with the participants. Then the lean experts compete in teams of 3 in the Lean Challenge competition, while their colleagues in leadership positions enjoy lively exchanges of experience in the challenge-your-peers sessions.
On day 2, the conference offers sufficient space for interactive and dynamic sessions; top-class speakers, exciting case study presentations and stimulating discussions are on the agenda. The award ceremony is the closing element of the conference and the new Lean Challenge 2021 winners are celebrated!
The motivation, endurance and discipline with which top athletes constantly optimise their performance is both inspirational and educational for us in industry. There is hardly any area that embodies “continuous improvement” better than top-class sport.
Conor Troy Consulting is a performance improvement consultancy for the process industry, specialising in operational excellence and lean management practices. As a sponsor of Team Tokyo and a student of continuous improvement we have always been inspired by the Olympic spirit.
